Dominic Richard serais sur le point de concluer une attente avec l'avalanches du Colorado. Un contract de 2 ou 3 ans pour 750 000 $. L'attaquant Québecois a été repecher en premiere ronde au 17 ieme rang. Il se dit ravi de pouvoir jouer a Denver et il aimerais signer un contract rapidement pour passer a l'entrainement et de rejoindre ces coéquipier.

You were born in Trois-Rivieres a town near Montreal. Tell us why you are french ?

Well my mother's origins are from Ireland and Scotland and she speaks english. So, during my mother's tongue is english. As a result i speak english.

Can you speak french at all?

Oui je le peux mais je suis plus comfortable en anglais.

Tres bien, if you would've been picked by the Canadiens do you think that the language you speak would of been a problem.

At first yes but i could learn french and as long as i can perform on the ice i don't think fans would've cared.

How are the negotiations going ?

I'd say pretty well, the organization has send me a text message asking me how much i think i am worth. I told the that players in the first round are worth this ... and told them a number and i am just waiting for the answer.

How much did you ask for ?

I'd rather not talk about money now but i can tell you it's the average wage of a first rounder.

Okay, did you start training ?

I try to train everyday, even during vacation. So yes i have. But not on ice.

I think the coach will be delighted with that.

I hope so and i love training you just feel so good after.

Our experts have described you as a prolific goalscorer. Is there any aspects of your game you think are good and which will you work on during pre-season.

I think i can handle the puck pretty well and i think i am fast on my skates. I would like to develop the physical side of my game during the off season.

D'apres les experts de hockeys future Dominic Richard recruter en 19 ieme place est quasiment un vol. Les fans des Cataracts de Shawinigan croyais qu'ils voyaient le Rocket ! Selon les experts il aurais du etre repecher dans les 15 premiers. Plusieurs personnes crois qu'il n'est qu'un marqueur de buts mais selon hockeys future si il serais bien encardrer il pourrais devenir un des meilleur joueurs de la ligue. Il reste a voir ce qu'il deviendra. Il a le talent et il a une bon physique.

Dominic ce dit soulager d'avoir signer un contract comme sa il peut se concentrer sur le hockey et s'entrainer. Il est aussi satisfait du montant et de la durée. Nous lui avons demander comment il se vois dans 3 ans. Il a repond, dans le bureau des dirigants a signer un autre contract avec l'Avalanche.
